The dissertation presents the results of a study of the problem of patriotic education of junior schoolchildren in music lessons in a comprehensive school in the PRC, which made it possible to build a model of this process as a system, to develop and experimentally verify the system-forming role of pedagogical conditions for achieving positive dynamics of patriotic education of students in music lessons in a comprehensive school in the PRC. The dissertation research was carried out on the principles of axiological, systemic, personal and activity scientific approaches and based on an analysis of the scientific fund on the problem raised, this made it possible to prove the author's understanding of patriotic education of junior schoolchildren in music lessons in a comprehensive school in the PRC and its basic parameters (criteria, indicators, levels of manifestation). The concept of “patriotic upbringing of younger schoolchildren” is nominated as a result of patriotic upbringing, which is manifested through a personal characteristic that determines individual characteristics that affect the child’s way of perceiving national traditions and priorities of state formation, the originality of reactions to the establishment of national values in society and the world, and behavior in everyday life, motivated by love for the Motherland, devotion to one’s people, and responsible activities in its interests. The expediency of distinguishing the following components of patriotic upbringing of a child of younger school age in music lessons is substantiated: axiological-targeted (the presence in the child of primary philosophical and ideological ideas about the virtues of patriotism of the individual in the musical sphere, value orientations in it); operational (mastering the techniques of musical and performing activities aimed at emphasizing patriotic preferences in it and stimulating others to imitate it); activity (formation of knowledge, skills and abilities to carry out musical and creative teamwork, demonstrating competence in successful integration into society). A model of patriotic education of younger schoolchildren in music lessons in a general education school in the PRC has been developed and experimentally tested. Its main blocks are as follows: target (goal and objectives of the process of forming patriotic upbringing of the personality of a child of primary school age); content-process (components of patriotic upbringing of younger schoolchildren); diagnostic-formative (criteria and indicators of manifestation of patriotic upbringing of primary schoolchildren); effective (dynamics of levels of patriotic upbringing of younger schoolchildren in music lessons in the PRC). The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time: the set of pedagogical conditions for patriotic education of younger schoolchildren in music lessons in a comprehensive school in the PRC has been scientifically substantiated and experimentally proven (expanding the value-motivational field of music lessons by activating interactive-reflective means; systematic assimilation of the traditions of Chinese national culture and development of students' awareness of the musical and genre palette of other democratically developed countries; strengthening the patriotic dominant of the musical repertoire of educational activities, initiating partnership interaction with the family and participants in musical and creative leisure); the phenomenology of patriotic upbringing of younger schoolchildren of the PRC was determined by outlining the structural and component composition (axiological-target, operational, activity), criteria (worldview-value, cognitive, personal-behavioral), indicators and levels of manifestation (active, active-situational, situational-passive, passive); the essence of the concept of “education of patriotism in music lessons” was clarified, where the content is a comprehensive school in the PRC; theoretical approaches to the problem of actualizing the patriotic educational potential of music lessons, directions of musical and pedagogical influence on the patriotic upbringing of the personality of a child of primary school age, the idea of increasing international interaction, cooperation, collaboration in the context of musical pedagogy and the ethno-national world community were further developed.
