Tatarko K. Methodology of forming the performing culture of future vocal artists in solo singing classes.

The thesis presents the results of a scientific study on the problem of forming the performing culture of future vocal artists in solo singing classes. The theoretical aspects of the problem are revealed; psychological, pedagogical, and art studies literature is analyzed; scientific works on the professional training of future vocal artists and the implementation of innovative teaching methods in the educational process of higher artistic institutions are systematized. The study defines the concept of "performing culture of future vocal artists" based on two groups of notions: the first group includes definitions that clarify the essence of a vocal artist’s culture; the second group focuses on the content of performing culture, which is considered a multi-component phenomenon consisting of motivational-value, informational-cognitive, interpretative-performing, and control-reflexive components which together contribute to the effective use of a complex scientific-methodological knowledge, vocal-performance skills, practical application of information and communication technologies for comprehending and embodying the artistic-image content of a musical work, evaluating its aesthetic value, and creating one's own interpretation through stage and acting mastery. The structural components of the studied phenomenon include four elements: motivational-value, informational-cognitive, interpretative-performing, and control-reflexive components.
