Essay

The thesis determined the theoretical and methodological principles of sociological investigation of reading as a social communication segment. Theoretical approaches and practical mechanisms of the development of social-communicative functions of reading in university library system were elaborated. The dynamics of the communicative orientation of students reading practices at university library has been investigated.
